This PoC utilizes the Model Context Protocol (MCP), a standard protocol that connects AI agents, to verify the effectiveness of multi-agent collaboration. This is the first initiative in Japan to link AI specialized in a specific field with general-purpose chat-based AI to verify the practical use of this link in the field of legal practice.

As a solution to the above situation, AMT, Mirai Translate, and Bengo4.com will collaborate to demonstrate the multi-agent operation and present a model case for practical AI coordination in the legal field.

Overview: Verify the effectiveness of multi-agent technology in the field of legal practice where confidential information is handled securely through the link between general-purpose chat-based AI and legal-focused AI

This PoC utilizes MCP to link a secure general-purpose chat-based AI agent developed by Mirai Translate with Bengo4.com's legal-focused AI agent “Legal Brain Agent” to verify whether user experience in actual legal work is enhanced and whether productivity improves significantly. AMT is responsible for providing legal knowledge and verifying improvements in productivity in practical scenarios, paving the way for the use of AI in highly confidential work, where there was previously a strong hesitance in the use of external AI. This initiative is expected to become a standard model for secure AI operation in the legal industry.

〈Verifications through the PoC〉

1. Verify that seamless AI integration will provide improved experience

The secure general-purpose chat-based AI agent developed by Mirai Translate will be linked with “Legal Brain Agent,” a legal-focused AI agent provided by Bengo4.com. This link will enable the users to call legal-focused AI from the general-purpose chat-based AI to obtain expert answers. We will verify the convenience of completing everything from general questions to advanced legal research through the use of a single general-purpose chat-based AI agent without having to switch between multiple AI tools.

2. Verify the effectiveness of collaboration between general AI and specialized AI

In the process of collaboration between AI, the scope of responsibility for authentication, authority-setting, and output is clarified, and the security of confidential information is ensured by means such as encryption of communication paths. Through these verifications, we will evaluate the feasibility of an environment in which AI can be used safely and efficiently for highly confidential legal work, where the use of external AI environment has been previously avoided.
