We are pleased to announce that Ms. Yuko Sano has joined our firm as Of Counsel, beginning April 1, 2026.

After graduating from the University of Tokyo, Ms. Sano joined the National Police Agency, worked as Director of the Juvenile Division of the National Police Agency, and Chief of the Police Administration Section of the Shizuoka Prefectural Police Headquarters. She has also been accorded with the privilege of being seconded to the United Nations Organization in Vienna. She has, moreover, completed the 62nd national judicial training program. She has worked as Chief of the Tottori Prefectural Police Headquarters, Director General of the Commissioner General’s Secretariat of the National Police Agency, and as Director of the Community Safety Bureau of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, successively holding important positions such as Director of the Personnel and Training Bureau of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. Additionally, she made significant contributions to legal practice as Counselor for the Assistant Chief Cabinet Secretary's Office and for the Cabinet Bureau of Personnel Affairs.
