Yoshiaki Otsuki is a legal expert in the area of Energy and Natural Resources. He has vast experience in representing several Japanese utility companies in respect of their import business of LNGs and biomass fuels, as well as other corporate deals involving such utility companies.
He also has substantial expertise in Japanese Mining Law and the practices prevalent in Japan thereunder, in respect of which, he represents many foreign mining companies for their mining projects in Japan.
He was seconded to JOGMEC, where he was involved in many upstream projects of oil and natural gas, as well as metal and minerals. He has additional experience in capital markets transactions and advised clients on several IPOs and issue of Samurai Bonds.
He has recently been focusing on developing his expertise in solar power generation projects in Japan.
