EC's New Draft Merger Guidelines, and Proposed Measures for Google on Sharing Search Data Under the DMA

The European Commission (the "EC") released a draft of its new Merger Guidelines for public consultation, marking the most significant update to its merger rules in over two decades. Separately, the EC proposed measures subject to public comment that would require Google to share certain search engine data with third-party search providers under the European Union’s Digital Markets Act (the "DMA").
