Singapore

Recognizing the importance of Singapore as a hub for South-East Asia, our Singapore office (AMT SG) was established on November 2013 as a Foreign Law Practice, and since then has been a key provider of legal services to Japanese companies with a presence in Singapore as well as the South East Asian region, as well as other international and regional companies based in Singapore. We have been involved in a wide range of Singapore transactions, including acting for Japanese clients seeking to establish a presence in Singapore, as well as routinely advising Japanese multinational corporations with subsidiaries already in operation in Singapore. More recently, we regularly advise Singaporean companies seeking to enter into the Japanese market on various Japanese law issues. We act for clients across a multitude of industry sectors advising on matters involving market access, M&A, finance, regulatory and investment compliance, antitrust and competition law, labor & employment, intellectual property, litigation and arbitration, and inbound investments into Japan. For clients requiring cross-border legal services, we also offer a one-stop service by working closely with our counterparts in Tokyo and other offices across South-East Asia. In dealing with certain matters requiring the assistance of local counsel, we collaborate with our network of relationship firms, which includes not only leading large law firms in Singapore, but also reputable boutique and mid-sized law firms, according to the needs of our clients. By doing so, we have the capabilities to assist our international and Japanese clients with a full offering of legal services in Singapore.
