The Middle East is a vast area consisting of Gulf Cooperation Council countries (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman), Levant countries (Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Israel, etc.) as well as largely populated countries such as Iran, Egypt and Iraq.
