Non-regular Employment
Businesses in Japan increasingly have to pay attention to the issue of non-regular employment, or in other words, employment based on fixed-term and part-time arrangements, and dispatch of workers. As the labor force in Japan becomes more diversified, the percentage of non-regular employees in the labor force is increasing each year and laws are being frequently amended to reflect this change. Employers will inevitably become exposed to legal risk if they engage non-regular employees without a firm understanding of the legal requirements of non-regular employment. Our firm is very familiar with the laws, regulations and commercial practices in this field. We also continuously keep abreast of the legislation, amendment, and abolishment of relevant laws and regulations that may affect our clients’ interests.
In addition, we regularly advise on temporary staffing and recruitment agencies in Japan and abroad concerning the Japanese Workers Dispatching Act and Employment Security Act.
